. It was last used in 2009 and was not used very much, so it is 'like new' as they say. I would like to either give it to someone in need or maybe sell it for a reasonable amount. The problem is Changing the Batteries out! I have some experience with electronics and I also have an electric bicycle so I am not a total nube. So here's the issue: The power seat is all the way down and and the batteries are totally dead so the seat cannot be raised. It seems to me that the seat needs to be raised at least a few inches in order to properly access the batteries. How can this be accomplished without taking it into a professional repair shop? Can it be done manually? Can 24volt power be applied somewhere to make it happen? So far I have tried to contact three wheelchair shops (online) and none have been helpful, even if I offer to buy new batteries from them. So is there anyone out there with knowledge as to how to do this? - Thanks, SteveWSR specializes in in-home nationwide repair, maintenance, and service of all Permobil power wheelchairs.
